The invention of "WorldWideWeb"

For over 2 decades people have been wondering that it’s a synonym for the Internet, But It’s Not! It’s actually a subset of the internet.

1989 - Tim Berners-Lee (an English scientist) invented the “WWW”

1990 - Tim Berners-Lee wrote the first web browser while he was employed at CERN (Switzerland, near Geneva)

January 1991 - The Web browser was released outside CERN to other research institutions.

Internet is the real Network of Networks where all the information exists. It’s basically an information system where all the data and other web resources are identified by Uniform Resource Locators (URLs)

For Example, https://example.com, can be interlinked by hypertext, and are easily accessible on the internet.

Web resources are transferred via Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) which could be any type of download media

In addition to the text, web pages may also contain references to audios, images, videos, and software components which are either displayed or executed internally in the web browser of the relevant user.

The Web consists of pages that are hypertext documents formatted in Hypertext Mark-up Language (HTML) and can be accessed by using a software application called Web browser and are published by another Software application called Web Server.

Special HTML syntax shows URLs embedded with hyperlinks that allow users to navigate to other web resources. Multiple web resources with a common Domain name, and a common theme, make up a website.
